North Carolina in Bloom

I'll be posting my second meme soon, but I wanted to take another photo break. This time, I'm sharing some of the beauty of North Carolina spring. All of these images were taken in the last week here in the Triangle area.

These here are just a preview. The full set is here.

Oh yeah... and I got my hair cut. It's still long, but much more curly with layers. That was my last act in California before driving to the airport.

Your hair is cute, Nikki - looks redder...Spring must be pretty there. I like the pictures of you two. I lifted a couple others for Talia's Who Loves Baby book. They are on their way to me. I wish I had used these instead. But Talia will get the picture ;)

Thanks, Mom. If it looks redder, it must be the sun or something. I left it as it was color-wise... grays and all. :D

Spring is gorgeous. Imagine Dad's fruit trees in bloom along the highway and in about every 3rd yard. That's what it looks like right about now. It's like the world hopped out of winter all of the sudden and scrambled to put some clothes on. I like it.

Your hair looks great! I loved the color editing on the first picture and on some of Talia's pictures.

Beautiful, beautiful. I love the maple seed, fallen upon the moss.

Spring is lovely. Around here it seems to happen overnight. It warns us that it's on its way by reddish buds on the trees and bushes - from a distance it almost mimics some of the look of late fall on the hills around me. Then you wake up one morning and the buds have unfurled and the world is suddenly green again. I love it!

We're just beginning to see daffodils now. The trees have yet to leaf out.

What is "tagged"? What is a "meme"?

Just stopping in to say hi, to lend my presence here and to sense yours.

Lovely nature pics. Always nice to see NC in bloom this time of year. My mother posts good pics rather often over at All Things Quilty that are usually astounding.
